Cyan's Z-Series multi-service platforms support advanced MEF services with new connection oriented Ethernet for Carrier Grade Ethernet service satisfying even the most demanding service level agreement (SLA) requirements. Leveraging new industry standards such as IEEE 802.1Qay, the Cyan Z-Series provides deterministic transport of Ethernet services with the economics and efficiency of packet while providing advanced Ethernet OAM for superior performance and management.
Superior connection oriented Ethernet performance is achieved with a provisionable packet based transport mux layer that is functionally similar to SONET or SDH, but with the economic and transport efficiencies of packet. The result is the ability to support even the most demanding services (low-latency financial market Ethernet services, wireless backhaul, IPTV/VOD backhaul and more) with industry leading SLA performance such as:
- <50 ms restoration
- <1 ms frame delay
- <2 micro second frame delay variation
- >99.9 frame delivery ratios
