JOB TITLE

Engineering, Product Quality Assurance

SUMMARY

The Product Quality Assurance role focuses on the testing and verification of system releases in our multi-layer transport solution. Release testing includes verification of feature performance and the system operation against industry standards from Telcordia, ITU, and IEEE. The role includes verification of the multilayer-management and 3-dimensional network visualization capabilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Develop test methodologies and test cases for evaluating features of our packet optical transport product against product requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop automation test capabilities to verify product operation as part of the product release cycle.
  • Perform lab testing on a multi-node system using Ethernet, OTN, and SONET test sets as part of the product release cycle.
  • Work with the development team, customer support, and product management groups to ensure timely resolution of all identified issues.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years testing experience in the telecom, Ethernet transport, or software fields.
  • Proven track record of developing automation test cases using programming or scripting.
  • Capable of evaluating system operation against requirements.
  • Good communications skills (verbal and written).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates who are familiar with any of the following will have a significant advantage.

  • Transport product operation and reliability requirements.
  • Lab testing using test instruments in the areas of Ethernet testing, SONET testing, or OTN testing.
  • Relevant Telcordia, ITU, and IEEE requirement.
