CyPlan Multi-Layer Network Planning System

CyPlan is the industry's first multi-layer network planning system. This powerful cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) is available to Cyan Z-Series customers as a resource for planning their packet-optical transport networks. CyPlan supports a range of standard and advanced planning capabilities which span from concurrent optical and service layer network designs to revolutionary multi-layer network modeling to accurately predict the latency of services prior to network deployment.

CyPlan combines advanced multi-layer network design and planning algorithms with Google Maps integration to provide a simple and inituitive network planning resource that can be shared across the service provider enterprise. The result is a consistent, efficient and comprehensive approach to planning networks across multiple services and transport layers concurrently. Additionally, CyPlan can link with CyMS to upload network designs which flow-through to provision the network per the design, as well as discover ongoing network changes for simple and accurate incremental planning activities. The result is that planning becomes an ongoing exercise of updating and refining the network vs. a periodic exercise which quickly becomes obsolete.

With inteface options ranging from drop-down menus which automatically populate based on previously specified criteria, CyPlan simplifies complex network planning. Simple point and click specifications of node placements, primary service paths, and protection paths give network planners a powerful, yet easy to use planning system interface. Integration with SalesForce.com and database imports from other systems serve to further minimize the effort, while maximizing the accuracy of network planning.
