HARDWARE ENGINEER

The Hardware Engineer will focus on the design of high-speed line cards built around state of the art ASSP devices. Qualified applicants will work with the Cyan Development Teams to deliver next-generation packet optical networking equipment. Applicants with demonstrated experience delivering reliable systems will be preferred.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

Cyan is looking to hire developers with varying experience levels. Please apply if you satisfy most of the following:

Experience with high-speed digital logic
Experience in hardware troubleshooting
Understanding and awareness of layout design issues
Good communication and problem solving skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates who are familiar with any of the following will have a significant advantage:

Exposure to Cadence CIS Design Entry, Allegro PCB or other PCB CAD tool
Scripting languages (Perl, Python)
Experience designing FPGA and CPLD logic
Experience with SONET, OTN and Ethernet standards
