Robert Switz - Director

Robert E. (Bob) Switz is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ADC Telecommunications, Inc. Mr. Switz played an instrumental role in transforming ADC over the past decade, developing and implementing strategies that secured the company's position as one of the leading global providers of fiber connectivity and wireless coverage and capacity solutions for communications service providers in more than 130 countries. Under Switz's leadership, ADC emerged from the technology crash of 2001 successfully. The company then delivered five consecutive years of revenue growth, improved profitability and increased cash from from 2003 to 2008. More recently, he placed the company on a renewed profitable growth trajectory coming out of the global recession of 2009 and 2010.

Prior to his 17 year career at ADC, Mr. Switz held key executive positions at Burr-Brown Corporation, Gulfstar, PepsiCo, AMF and Olin Corporation, and is a former Director of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). He is also a Board member of Broadcom (NASDAQ), and Micron Technology (NYSE). Mr. Switz holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Bridgeport, and a BS in Marketing and Economics from Quinnipiac University.
