COMPTEL
Based in Washington, D.C., COMPTEL is the leading industry association representing competitive communications service providers and their supplier partners. COMPTEL members are entrepreneurial companies driving technological innovation and creating economic growth through competitive voice, video, and data offerings, as well as the development and deployment of next-generation IP-based networks and advanced services utilizing fiber, copper and wireless facilities.


National Telecommunications Cooperative Associations (NTCA)
The NTCA, "the voice of rural telecommunications," is the premiere non-profit association representing over 570 small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies.
Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF)
The MEF is a non-profit industry consortium dedicated to accelerating the worldwide adoption of carrier-class Ethernet networks and services. Comprised of a group of more than 150 members representing telecommunications service providers, cable MSOs, and network equipment and software companies, the MEF develops technical specifications and implementation agreements to promote interoperability and deployment of Carrier Ethernet worldwide.

Open Networking Foundation (ONF)
Launched in March, 2011 by Deutsche Telekom, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Verizon, and Yahoo!, the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to bring programmability to networks and quickly and collaboratively bring to market standards and solutions. ONF will accelerate the delivery and use of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) standards and foster a vibrant market of products, services, applications, customers, and users.
 
The Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunication Companies (OPASTCO)
OPASTCO is an industry leader in rural telecom policy, technical issues, member-run committees, education, knowledge-sharing, and networking. Members enjoy unparalleled access to OPASTCO staff that have the regulatory, legislative and technical expertise necessary to navigate today’s telecom world.
Utilities Telecom Council (UTC)
The Utilities Telecom Council is a global trade association dedicated to creating a favorable business, regulatory, and technological environment for companies that own, manage, or provide critical telecommunications systems in support of their core business.
